Prayer Connection Ministry

Several years ago, a number of parishioners came together to form the Prayer Connection Ministry. They agreed to pray at home for the needs and intentions of other members of St. Anthony community. They placed a square wooden box marked Prayer Petitions on the window ledge on the right side of the Church near the rear doors and invited those in need of the power of prayer to drop their petitions into the box. The petitions are collected, printed and mailed to the Prayer Connection Ministers each month. The needs are remembered and included in the prayers of each minister.

From time to time, we find heartfelt notes of thanks. These were received just recently:

• In thanksgiving: is pregnant, miraculously. The doctors had said it was a medical impossibility. I know all your prayers made it possible. Thank you.

• My plea was answered. What a wonderful feeling. Thanks for the prayers.

• Praise and thanks to answered prayers, especially finance and weight loss. If you are in need of prayer support, the members of the Prayer Connection Ministry will be happy to include your petitions in their prayers. If you would like to become a Prayer Connection minister, please call the Outreach Office at (516) 764-0048 ext 2530.
